How to transfer iTunes music and video to Galaxy Nexus

Galaxy Nexus

The Galaxy Nexus is a touchscreen slate Android smartphone developed by a partnership between Google and Samsung. The phone and operating system were developed collaboratively by engineers from both companies. It is the third generation successor to Google’s previous flagship phones, the Nexus One and Nexus S. It has an HD (720p) Super AMOLED display with curved glass, an improved camera system, and Google’s new version of its Android operating system, version 4.0, codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich. The name is the result of co-branding between the Samsung Galaxy and Google Nexus brands of Android smartphones.

The audio formats supported by Galaxy Nexus include MP3, WAV, eAAC+, AC3, Vorbis, FLAC
The video formats supported by Galaxy Nexus include MP4, H.264, H.263, WebM

So if you want to play iTunes music and video on your Galaxy Nexus, you cannot directly transfer them to the phone. Besides, the music, movies, TV shows and audiobooks purchased from iTunes store are protected by DRM (short for Digital Rights Management). You also need to remove iTunes DRM first.

After the DRM is removed and the iTunes music / video is converted to plain MP3 / MP4, you can then connect your Galaxy Nexus with your computer and transfer the output files to the phone.
